METRORail
The METRORail expansion project was an ambitious and controversial one for Houston. METRO planned to build five light-rail lines in the middle of a city that doesn't naturally cotton to public transportation of any kind. Our assignment was simple. Turn skeptics into light-rail enthusiasts. Rally public support for local businesses located in the line of rail construction. Educate new riders about how the rail system works. Help small business enterprises, and college interns, successfully participate in the construction process. And teach school children how to stay safe around the new rail lines.
